My names are Mr. Albert Abdullah Ahmad, barrister at law of the aforementioned law chambers. Mr. Oman Smith Christensen. who herein after shall be referred to as my client died on the 28th March, 2005 as a result of the 28th March,2005. Koyna-Wana, Maharashtra (Earth Quake) disaster in Indonesia where which he also lost his family.
My reason of contacting you is to assist in reclaiming of the deposit he had with a finance house as the fund is about to be declared unserviceable by the finance house. You coincidentally happen to share the same last name with my late client. The finance house has asked me to present the next of kin to my late client as soon as possible. I have been issued with a notice by the finance house to contact his next of kin but all my effort to get in touch with any of his relations has failed.
Consequently, I deem it necessary to seek your consent for I to present you as the next of kin and beneficiary of my late client’s deposit, since you bear the same last name as my client. Subsequently, I wish the outcome of this transaction will be fairly apportioned based on our agreement.
Furthermore, I will want you to know that every relevant and legal documents to prove your claim as my client's next-of-kin will be provided. But, the most important aspect now should be your honesty and co-operation to enable us see this transaction to a logical conclusion as every legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law will be taken care of.
