My post was not to start a debate or a problem but since it did let me reply to the people who posted...

Wayne Thompson... You said that people like me who don't contribute to the club should have no say. I have been a member for 2 years, attended both conventions, went to both banquets and played the poker tournament both times. I did stay at the Riviera both times, paid for my room the first time and was comped for 3 days for the second. I did pay for the additional nights on the second stay. I do not recall seeing you at the poker tournament or the black jack tournament (I watched that one the first year and was too late in registering the second). Actually I have never seen you anywhere other than the banquet(i know you have club business to attend to during the day). Why not socialize at the Splash Bar with everyone. Oh I remember, club officials shouldn't be seen there for all the shenanogans that go on there (A quote from a board member)

Also, I was told that Mike Skelton had a suite this year in which select club members were also invited for a dinner comped by the Riviera. I have never seen Mike Skelton, nor yourself gamble at the Riviera in the 2 years I have attended. Care to elaborate. If I am wrong provide proof you paid for your rooms.

As for donating to the club, I have sent winnings from poker tournaments (through Dave Kolenda R.I.P) and donated to the convention grab bags. I also won the auction at last years convention for the Palms Pamela Anderson display for $300. I assume that went to the club.

I have also donated to many chippers who had either loss of family members or theft of their chip collections. I have also contributed to special fund raising of chips for charity (Lori Leggio R.I.P) I never did this for recognition but for helping out a fellow member who I consider a friend.

As for Gene Trimble.... What did I do that you named me specifically. I only posted that the Riviera's rates were a joke. I have never engaged in anything but friendly conversation.

As for Jim Follis... Why so sensitive. My post was not aimed at you. Although it should be. Where did you stay last year, The Orleans. I will await your reply. I promise I won't have the last word.

As for the TRUE members of the club, the members who are activly trying to make the club fun and exciting and what I consider the reasons why people attend (Brian, Chuck, Neil, Greg, Jay, Doug, Steve, Mike, Andy) to name a few, I apologize if I have insulted you or the club. It was not my intention.

In closing, I might not be well received after this post but to quote Gene Trimbe "It had to be said Wayne"
