It may indeed happen, even on a large scale, at some point, but will be much more difficult to implement than with slots and take much longer. That said, I don't envision casinos ever completely dispensing with chips (or dealers or floormen for that matter); it wouldn't really be the same experience without them. So, if the days of casino chips comes to an end, will it make the ones we collect more, or less, valuable?!?!
