Archie, you might as well call it a complete loss. I had a similar situation with an Ebay seller of baseball cards $33 plus $8 postage, paid by personal check. Filed complaint with Ebay. With Ebay you are out $25, they do not count postage paid. with the documentation they require to submit claim, it wasn't worth it for $8.
