I didn't buy any from you, but I don't think selling a $5 chip for face (and less than face for more than one) is wrong simply because you paid less than face. Dealers who are members of the
do the same thing every day. You put your own money at risk when you purchased the lot of them with no guarantee that you would ever be able to resell a single one of them. If we didn't have dealers who were able to do this our hobby would go nowhere and it would be impossible to grow our collections.
Your risk was also compounded by the fact that the seller's picture was so lousy and you couldn't be sure about the condition of what you were bidding on.
Maybe those who objected should have put in a competing bid and taken the same risk you did. I think your price was very reasonable, especially since you are being generous enough to donate so many to the grab bags.
