I bought a home in Reno last year. It is west of downtown and immediately up the hill from old Hiway 40 which connects Reno to Verdi.

Here is a photo I took of the old Lawton Springs property at 9400 W. 4th which is near my home. All the police cars are there because they are using it for some kind of training.

The history of this property is fascinating, started as Lawton Springs, became Holiday Lodge, then Holiday Spa and was the subject of an extensive (and expensive) remodel to become the River Palace when the owner went bankrupt in 1982.

It has been vacant since though there are rumors of a new owner, etc.
