Reading between the lines here; Whole Foods has determined that they would rather let a shop lifter get away with the crime and write off the cost of the stolen goods rather than risk having to shell out for a litigation and possibly a settlement. Gone are the days of aggressively apprehending and prosecuting shoplifters!
