I'm new to collecting and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a frequent visitor to AC and annual visitor to LV going on 20 years now. In all that time, I never once thought about collecting chips and had no idea people actually did. What got me interested in chipping was finding a small box of chips left for trash while out walking my dog one night probably almost a year ago. I did a little research and even bought a few chips on eBay afterwards but already a collector of vintage rock and roll posters from the 1960's and 1970's San Francisco scene, I didn't pay too much attention to chipping or that box I found. Recently though, I opened the box to look through them again and realized how much I enjoy looking at them and how little I've been enjoying my other collectible field now that it's being dominated by a single dealer who has the lions share of available pieces and control over the hobby.

Anyway, that's my intro. I hope to learn more about this hobby and get more involved in collecting, as well as building my collection which is small. Oh, the box I found had a harem girl chip in it, and mostly new issue chips from the strip in LV. So I guess one could say the Harem Girl chip is currently the prize of my collection. For now :-)
