For several days this week, comic Louie Anderson appeared on the KQRS 92.5 FM radio morning show. This station broadcasts within the Minneapolis - St. Paul twin cities area. While talking about different ways businesses promote themselves, Louie said that some Las Vegas casinos used to issue special $5 casino chips. He said that part of "the deal" of performing at Bally's, Las Vegas, was that your image would appear on one of these casino chips. He also said that Bally's loved this promotion because it was "free money" for them every time somebody bought a chip and brought it home with them. Louie stated that he did save one (apparently JUST one) of the Bally's chips that he appears on. It was nice to hear any reference about casio chips on my local airwaves, although this discussion was very brief.
Note that I am merely reporting Louie Anderson's comments, I do not claim that they are accurate!
