It was my understanding that Slabbing involved paying someone to assign a particular grade (and therefore dollar value) to a particular chip, and that it was this "arbitrary" assigned value (and fee) that was the issue… not simply sealing a chip in plastic for display. Am I maybe missing the slabbing issue?
