There should be a set of El Monte chips framed and hanging in the foyer of the Mayfair Hotel. About 8 years ago, I found the El Monte Chips from a seller that swore they were used in NYC...After 2-3 years of searching, another illegal game runner in NYC led me to the Mayfair where the manager attributed the El Monte Chips as being used for a game they covered up with a Backgammon Club.....Even Sean Connery played there. He saw the chips I sent framed in the lobby and recalled playing poker with them. Now they are attributed to Auburn Calif. .....later on I am sure.
