My wife received a laptop from a family member.No battery or cord.

she was told it was 3 years old. I doubt that.
Is there a way to tell how old this thing is?
Other than the windows 98?
Is this more of a hurt than help.
Free computer but..... with no disc drive, no bat,and no cord,
sounds like it will dip into my chip money! LOL
