Today’s note comes from Portugal it is a 2000 issue 1,000 Escudos. It is one of the Quincentenary of Portuguese Discoveries Series. The front has Pedro Alvares Cabral wearing a helmet at the right and as the watermark. (Pedro Alvares Cabral was a Portuguese navigator and explorer. Cabral is generally regarded as the European discoverer of Brazil). At the center are Brazilian Arms and is used as repeating UV code on the reverse. In the back is Pedro Alvares Cabral's ship Anunciacao sailing across the oceans, birds, monkeys and other Brazilian animals are in the multi-colored background. This note has a security thread.
