I have had a medium-sized floor safe for approx 8 years now. I have had it moved twice (by stronger and younger, close friends) and have it secured by lag bolts to the floor so it cannot be easily hauled off. I have the same desiccant package in the safe that came with it. I have stored valuable papers (it is fire-safe), coins, chips and jewelry with no notice of any negative effect on the contents whatsoever. All of the chips and coins have been kept in flips or other regular holders. I only keep a small quantity of high-end (for me) chips in there and have never noticed a problem.

The only recommendation I would make to you is to be sure it is secured in case (hopefully NEVER) of burglary.
