I recognize it as a fact of life, but as a seller I don't like the fact that an auction item can go without bids until the final seconds. It creates anxiety. Although I don't end auctions early, I could see how some sellers might do so if they believe their item is not attracting interest, and they receive an offer to end the auction early.

As a buyer, I don't use sniping programs, and I don't care who does. I set my price once, and if I'm outbid right away or in the future, I don't lose any sleep over it. I also don't increase my bid to meet a reserve price.
