If an eBay seller posts high shipping charges for the auction, I think twice about bidding. If I only find out about the high shipping charges after the auction is over, I negotiate with the bidder. I always offer to send a self addressed stamped padded envelope if I think to seller is overcharging on the postage. Some sellers want to send by priority mail and I will ask that they use regular postage. I have only had a couple of problems. I wish that eBay had better rules in this area. Since the buyers generally pay for postage, we should pay for only the actual costs.
