That's the way our (my family's) street where we have lived on for 15 years
used to be 10 years ago. My wife, who lived in New Orleans as a child, says out street reminded her of Mardi Gras as it would be so clogged with people that cars could hardly drive down the street. Our very first Halloween livving here we had to make a mad dash to Wal-Mart at 7:15 to buy more candy. Now the majority of the kids living on the street and neighborhood are teens or are in college so it's not nearly as busy.
My last Trick or Treaters tonight showed up at about 9 PM and I made their night by giving them all the candy I had left which was probably a good bag full.
