Hiya Dick, this piece looks like it was meant to fool folks in slabbed hobbies. Perhaps the seller acquired the "token" by being duped into thinking it was certified. Of course there is no standing in our hobby for anything called Nat'l Numbie Certifyin' and the club doesn't use "AU" in the
Grading and Descriptions guidelines. The bar code is pretty and at least they didn't dishonor us by exploiting a TCR #. Not a true slab, just a fool-the-eye device to reassure the poor souls lost in collecting hobbies without ethics. If this is purchased by an unaware slab hobby particiapant he'd find out with only a minimum of research how he's been scammed and we'd have ourselves
another refugee!
Shoot, if the price was right and if I knew anything about the chip I'd buy it and remove it from the plastic dealie. After all, that so-called holder looks to have the same integrity as the rest of the "certification".
BTW, here's what the grading industry calls "kittens".
