I was at a casino over the weekend where the dealer needed to tie his shoe, and three bosses swooped in to watch. I quipped to the dealer later "how many casino employees does it take to tie a shoelace?" Answer: 10 - the dealer who ties his shoe, three supervisors to watch over him, two guys monitoring the eye in the sky, one manager to review the written report and the videotape, and a committee of three to review the protocol for shoe tying.
Of course, while they're all doing that, a customer is harvesting roulette chips.
