I think it's a good idea

And the great thing is if a company wants to start slabbing and overgrading their coins - and then sell on eBay - they're allowed to do so and they don't have to list serial numbers, show both sides of the coin, or meet the other conditions eBay is now imposing. I don't know why other companies would complain that they're not subject to eBay's new semi-stringent requirements.

Of course, I don't buy slabbed coins or slabbed chips, so I don't know what the real impact will be on the marketplace.
