They make more than ¢50 of course that was just an example but not too much more. In any case every chip is a marketing tool if people take it away from the casino! However most people will either leave it in their pocket or on their sideboard till they return to the casino or keep it hidden in their chip collection for personal viewing. There are generally better ways for a casino to spend it's marketing budget. Having said all that I too am a collector as well as a casino manager and I do like to see LE's but this post was a reply as to one question as to why some casinos dont bother with them. personally they are best used when a new casino opens its doors for the first time and the chips are part of the original inventory or on anniversaries etc, if used too much they become devalued.
