Hi, what I refer to as 'the back' of the chip in my description states that it is 'sort of faded-looking in the photo, but the chip is much better'. One side is not as bright purple as the other side, but it is not as off-color, or faded, as the photo makes it out to be. My bad photography has also left a pink tinge that isn't there. Thanks, Dee
