Mark, I've always been partial to the Siena http://www.sienareno.com/. It's right on the Truckee River, two blocks south of Harrah's and the Cal-Neva, where the Holiday once was. The hotel is tremendous. The casino is small but friendly, and if you prefer a bigger place to gamble, Harrah's and the Eldorado are all a short walk away.
