... the census form. I tore mine up and threw it in the trash (and I only got the short form -- my Dad got the long form and like the dutiful citizen he's been for 75 years, completed all 20 pages for each person is the household and sent it in).

By the way, I have NEVER completed a census form and don't intend to start this year. In 1970, they sent a census worker around to ask me their questions; I told her how many people were in the household; when she said I had to answer the other questions, too, I told her to come back with a search warrant and never heard from them again. In 1980 and 1990, I did not return the form and wasn't even contacted.

If they send someone again this year, I will tell them how many people live in my home -- and that's all.
