MONTICELLO, New York --
The U.S. government had given approval for development of a tribal gaming facility in the Catskill
Mountains, 75 miles from New York City. To be developed and built by the St Regis
Mohawk tribe and Alpha Hospitality Corporation, the facility would include 160,000 square
feet of gaming space, with 3,000 video lottery terminals and 200 gaming tables. The project
cost has not been released.
