Sounds great, Bob, but let's not fail to realize
that there is a membership of some 2200+ chippers of
which some may be interested in such a cruise. Why
not have your agent formally draw up a proposal; you
submit it for publication in our club magazine, and
we simply go from there. I would also like to
suggest in consideration for those who may want to
travel from thousands of miles away, that perhaps a
ship departing Florida for the Caribbean would be
best for the majority (Califormia and Alaska have
very little to offer). You may also want to ask
your agent to propose a 2-nite or 3-nite cruise.
I've been on many of these over to Nassau and
Freeport that cost less that $150 per person. These
leave from both Central and South Florida ports and
are fun-packed. I think we can get this on the road
(I mean on the sea) within a 6-month period. Let's
keep it simple, fun-filled and
party-like....forgetting those stuffy cruise lines
for the 85+ group....and I'm sure one or two poker tournaments (Gene?) would be in order. Also keep in mind that the casinos on the French Islands will not be open when ships are in port.
