Oh man, what a tale and what a picture Mark. Some dreamer owns the place now and it has been "restored" to a certain extent. Actually looks better now than in that Jensens's picture although I do like that "Mizpah Hotel" portico sign, pretty good Art Deco. Closed BTW. Used to drive with an old guy who mined mercury out of that area. I wasn't collecting or interested in Nevada much back then and he used to tell about going into Tonopah on the weekends. It was a really good Saturday night if they flew in extra cops to keep everyone in line.

Do me a big favor and run that picture again when I post about Mizpah shortly. Quite a contrast to the photos I got a week ago. If you look across the street form the Hotel today, this is what you see. Anyone got a guess?
