The hotstamp on the 5 dollar Silver Star that I have is not aligned. ( the same direction on each side). I have the the 25 dollar chip here somewhere too. I will check the alignment on that one when I locate it . I didn't know they were counterfeits.
I thought ,if they were perfectly aligned on both sides, they were counterfiets .
