As usual your information is suspect. Borland made "real" chips for real casinos. The Silver Star as you stated was open for a very short time. The Nevada mold was one of the molds used by Borland to make the chips requested by various casinos. The Silver Star chips were purchased from the Silver Star management upon closure by Jim Gellete, George Anton and Bill Payne. It was a three way deal. Unfortunately all three individuals are now deceased. I'll tell you what........Why don't you just say all Nevada and dice molds are suspect.
After all that's what you are doing any way. Why are you in such a hurry to destroy a series of chips? New collectors read you "bull" and are influenced by it.
