Greg, good question... Generally speaking...
yes it does. In this instance I know that many, very many, of those chips have had the cancellations removed, but the Paul-Son starburt hot-stamping was done very effectively. This is unlike the cancellations done on the St. Jo (MO) chips where they were cancelled on one side only and the hot-stamp was a rather broad, blackout, without much pressure. Just like the River City chips, many, very many, of those chips have had the cancellations removed.
But this is not new. As I recall, some of the Money Tree chips are the same way, with a "W". There are other examples as well.
It never hurts to look closely at any chip. If nothing else, it puts you closer to the beauty!
