very interesting. I agree with ALL of it too! As many of you know, we have never collected casino stuff as we didn't want to compete with our customers, many of whom became close friends. We kept it purely a business and only sold. We could see early on that the LE's were going to get way out of hand for us to keep up with and decided to just stick with the old obsolete stuff, specializing in Northern Nevada since we have both lived there for so long, Dean since the late 1950's, me since the late 1970's.

Many of you have pointed out that you have to find a niche that you like and collect that. This is what I have been saying for YEARS! Long before there was even a CC>CC. We saw very early on that it would drive a person crazy if they tried to collect everything. It just isn't possible.

What we DO collect is the histories of the old places. That is our "niche" so to speak. That is our love and passion. Dean has done many pages on casino histories for a book he will eventually put together. There is only one other person that has a copy of most of these histories.

There is definitely a place for LE's in this hobby as much as there is for anything else anyone wants to collect. They are so new to this hobby, though, that I don't think you will see any kind of value much over face for a very long time, but I do believe they will increase in value with time, and also with the next generation of chips/checks that come onto the market. Everything has its day eventually, and LE's will too.
