There has been discussions on cleaning chips. I've used Sterling's Magic with good results. Besides dirt, some chips just appear "washed out". Based on the recommendation of Robert Eisenstadt as well as others on the board, I used a piece of those "non-metal" scouring pads and a little baby oil. Take a look at the results.
