Larry, If you were going to email me privately, why would you post your note in an open forum? The CC>CC Code of Ethics is quite clear on the issue you raise. If for any reason one party in a trade is not satisfied with the deal, there is NO deal. I have made 100's of trades since I became a club member a number of years ago. I "offer" chips for trade & never "advertise". I have brought back chips from the Dominican Republic, Aruba, Curacao, St. Maarten, Puerto Rico & traded them face for face for chips that could be picked up at a casino close to the other traders home. I make an assumption that the other trader is aware that these chips are not "new" but may have been on the tables for some time. I have made many day cruises on the ships that leave from various ports in Florida & have done the same thing. Some of the time I am able to pick up "uncirculated" chips which were not "tableworn". Other times I searched through hundreds of dollars worth of chips to find the ones that I felt would be the best ones for trading. That is what I did at the Bahamia Casino. I'm sorry that you had to take this public, but I have a feeling that something good will come of it. Your "uncirculated" notation speaks to the ugly issue of a grading system, which I will fight along with a cadre of other chippers. If you are so dissatisfied with the chips I sent, please send them back to me, but keep the slot card & the room key for your troubles & disappointment. I will send you your 2 St. Croix "uncirculated" chips as soon as I recieve your address.
