Gentlemen: If you had read my book on Curacao you would know the entire history of Cliff "Big Juice" Jones, and Jake Kozloff. Jones was an attorney in Las Vegas who either represented or owned a piece of nearly every major casino that opened in Las vegas in the 1950's. He ultimately became Lt Governor of Nevada. At various times he held interests in the Pioneer, the El Cortez, the Thunderbird, the Golden Nugget, The Algiers, the Westerner, and the Dunes.
Kozloff owned interests in the Thunderbird, Last Frontier, and was supposed to be the first manager of the Hacienda. Jones left office prematurely under a cloud of suspicion of illegal activities. Kozlof ran into similar difficulty with the Nevada Gaming Commission when applying for the Hacienda license.
The two sold their Nevada gaming interests and moved their activities to Aruba, Curacao, St Maarten and Suriname and possibly other Caribbean jurisdictions.
Reportedly their new investments were not as successful as their prior Las Vegas activities and it is alleged that they went broke.
