Thanks for all of the great information. SpiritAir won't work for me as I need to travel to Dallas. I may try Shreveport instead. My actual destination is near Tyler. It's urgent, but not life or death so it may have to wait until after the convention. I'll try the SWA ding thing - thanks for that tip!

I got an email recommendation for Reliant Air into Shreveport, but there website is just a portal for Expedia, cheap tickets, etc.
