Here is a copy of an email I have been sending to the many people that have been contacting me on the new version:

The additional features all depend on which version you have. One major feature is the addition of a single filed search on the menu bar, which is what most peoplepl would use. So if you want to search for "$100.00" to list all of your 100 chips, or "Fremont" to search for your Fremont chips, it would save you time over the old version where you have to use the FI function, then pick either new search or quick search and then well, you get the idea.
Then there are additional math functions and gives you additional abilities to add more equations and summaries at the bottom.
We haven't completed the total new features listing yet. Here's a couple:
V7 Feature Highlights - Each month we will highlight one new feature in depth. The July feature highlight is the new sub item capability.
You may now add items to an item in a collection creating a parent-child relationship. When items are added to an item, certain of the information fields of the parent item are calculated or managed. For example the cost and value of the parent item are calculated as the sum of costs or values of the sub items.
The Variety field is prefixed by "Set-" so that all parent items may be grouped together if Variety is included as the sort selection.
The Collection Listing Grid now contains a narrow column to the left. For normal items, this field is blank. For parent items (sets) this contains "[+]" and for sub items it contains "[-]". By clicking on the + or - the collection display changes between a compressed and expanded listing.
The compressed listing hides all sub items which are only represented by their parent item. The expanded display lists all items individually, occurring in their proper place based on the sort selection. So for example if a set contained several sub-items of different coinage metals (gold, silver, copper) and coinage metal were the main sort, these coins would display alongside coins of the same metal in the expanded display. The same would be so for different chips with varying subsets. Additional control is what it's all about.
We have added a new database category Commemorative Sets which uses the new sub item feature to allow commemorative collectors to catalog these by set instead of individual chips as in earlier versions.
