I'm always broke but....Canada does not have lines
Well....speaking as someone who is always broke, and who has never been to a convention and who really wants to go,I would still feel a bit strange accepting a donation to go to the convention as I would always feel that there would be someone else more deserving than me.Nice gesture but......I don't know how you would choose unless a member(perish the thought)was never going to be able to go to a convention again due to severe health issues.
As for the Canada thing:kilometers and celsious...most of us hate it but originally the powers to be thought that all of North America would adapt to those those measures, but the USA decided that most of their population would not be able to grasp the concept so it was scrapped in the USA, but....unfortunately,we would up reluctantly adapting it.It stinks. When I am in the USA I know that 75-85 is hot and above that is very hot.Here....hell,I have no idea after 20 years or so what hot is.
As for those $1 and $2 coins....well,once again that was tried in the USA(remember Susan B.Anthony),and...yep...once again your country would not adapt to this.
Personally...I like the coins.Whenever I am in the USA,I always seem to have a pocketful of paper $1 bills and they get on my nerves.
Same with KPH instead of MPH.Give me miles any day.I know that 1000 miles is far, but attainable...HOWEVER....when you convert that into kilometers it now becomes 1600 and that seems too far to get off of the arm chair.
Now,I wonder about those lines you are talking about?I have lived here all of my life and never heard the word line in this country but have heard it alot out of the States:Mason Dixon Line/Town Line/State Line/County Line/Sweet Adeline(lol)...so perhaps you got confused between us and one of the border towns? There are no lines in Canada that I know of.
