...behind your idea Doug, but friends helping friends happens all of the time within the membership of this club. I've personally been on both sides of it. Leaving it to being friends helping friends is probably the way it should stay, and here's why I believe it to be so.

I think an effort to fund raise for one individual to attend the convention would result in jealousy and claims of cronyism or clique behavior, no matter how deserving the recipient of such a gift might be.

Call me a cynic, but recent history here is the reason for my cynicism.

I'm fried, just got home from a weekend in Canada....strange country. Speed limits are KPH. No dollar bills -- dollar and two dollar coins. Weather is Celsius -- tonight's low will be 17 and tomorrow's high will be 23. Huh?!? I never heard of a street or road being called a line, but they have lines everywhere up there!

I need some sleep, am flying to Dayton Wednesday. At least I have a fairly good idea of what I'll find when I land in Ohio!
