I wish I could figure out what the 2 or 3 of you that loose their cookies occasionally have in common, but I can't. Since it is happenning so rarely and to so few, I feel that it must be something locally with your own computer and/or browser configuration. Have you tried reinstalling your browser? Just a guess, but that is how you solve these things, by trying everything that could possibly cause the problem no matter how remote.
