Janice and I got back this afternoon from our digs in Oceanside, CA. We went down there June 22nd and will go back this Thursday. The Fourth of July crowds and activities get quite out of control near the beach where we are so we just come home until it’s over.

We'll be arriving in Las Vegas at the Riviera Sunday, August 5th and will be there until the next Sunday. We look forward to seeing all of you there. Since I don't have internet at the beach emails or ChipBoard posts to us will not be read until we stop in Palm Desert on our way to LV. This afternoon I've answered a lot of the emails so that's done.

A quick burst of pride if you'll allow...
Joan, the daughter, is expecting and that's our first Grandchild. The landing is to be in March. We're quite happy of course and I'll be seeking words of wisdom from those of you that have gone this way before. I know Dennis, with Great Grandchildren, will be a lot of help. They also bought a new house in Brea and will be returning from their ten-day trip to Italy soon. Geez, when Jan and I got married we were lucky to have the funds to go to the Indio Date Festival or that biker bar Bedo speaks about.

Yesterday Jan and I celebrated our 35th Anniversary, thank you. I took her to the Briganteen overlooking the race track at Del Mar, very nice. We had a little problem with gifts as I thought the 35th was a “$5 Sands V5524” and she thought it was some rare gemstone, go figure.
