Those really were the good old days.

The folks who are no longer with us will live on in our memories gathered from interaction that forum, as well as the conventions and shows.

eBay? We had online auctions before anyone heard of eBay, and they weren't all time-limited, i.e., post your bids and hope they held up. We had live auctions in the chat room, fun to watch even if you weren't bidding! grin

Archie didn't think he needed a home computer (refused to buy one for quite a while) but he did have friends who would read the posts made in that forum to him over the phone. Then, he'd relay his opinions/responses to those friends to post on his behalf. grin Archie has since bought a home computer or two. rofl
