Hey Gary, I use a scooter when I am in Vegas because of my mobility issues. I have used both the Tram and run the gauntlet, ad I prefer the gauntlet. It is less stressful on the scooter (especially on power) to use the tram, but I find the tram hard to get to, and a tad expensive. The elevators are small (the one at Harrah's/IP opens onto a staircase), and in some cases the trek to and from the tram is a bit much. By the time you made it thru MGM to the tram, and from the nearest stop to the Riv (Hilton I believe) you are doing almost as much driving as riding.

If you will be with others it may even be cheaper to use a cab, and there are plenty of accessible cabs for the scooters. But yes the tram is accessible. I hope this is helpful, it should be noted, I am a big guy, ad I use a bigger than normal scooter.
