Been quiet on here lately, but things have been very busy.

The new job is great, but is keeping me hopping. We've got 8.5 Billion in construction approved and proceeding about half in Canada where my responsibility lies. I've been getting budgets prepared, developing staffing plans and recruiting. Behind that is another 8 billion or so in the 80% plus probabilty range including new pipelines from Alberta to Houston. Lots on the go and to top it off, I had to present at an industry forum on excavation safety and sit on a technical panel... lots of fun. On the bright side, I'll be heading to HOuston and Cushing, OK in July and will be catching up with a couple of friends on the way.

The back yard is almost complete. Since spring, I have managed to finish off the inside of the garage, pour 50' of new sidewalk, backfill and plant perennials and trees and vines and get them growing. The weather has almost been cooperative.

Right now, I am doing web check ins for our holiday. We're off to Hawaii for two weeks and I'll be almost completely out of touch. I'll be looking for chips and hopefully find something interesting. The break will be good, and I'll post pictures!

Lastly, and most importantly, I have booked the convention and my rooms for the trip. I'll be down there for a full week and really looking forward to it.
