Re: Question about traveling with bottles of Liquo

Doug,

Each airline has a list of restricted items and baggage rules on their webpage. Look for FAQs or Baggage. American Airlines, for example, allows: Alcoholic Beverages (24-70 percent by volume) in retail packaging in checked baggage. Limited to 5 liters per passenger. Opened containers are only allowed if they are re-closed and packed properly. Over 140 proof is not allowed.

As far as carryon baggage, the TSA restricts all liquids to 3.4oz/100ml.

A complete list of restricted items can be found here: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm

If you're going to put them in your checked baggage, I'd suggest packing them in a wood crate first.

Hope this helps,
Steve
