Boy, we learn something new everyday don't we?
Snagged these on eBay after our friend Kent Hedburg pointed them out to me. Thanks Kent!!! He and I had never run across a Nevada Club out there in Sparks. Looked the joint up in
Fuller's Index and found it. 1931 to 1937. Harvey only has them down for 21 on the license so I'd imagine there was add-on somewhere along the line. 746 B St. Well. Sounds like a tour of B Street is called for when I swing through N.Nevada after the big show. Next up at 746 B St. was Nevada Bar.
That sounds familiar! Somebody's posted a Nevada Bar matchbook here I'll bet. Nevada Bar had license 21, craps, roulette, keno and poker. 1937-1953. Hmmm. Wonder if there were ever any Nevada Club Sparks chips to go along with the dice? Of course, just because these places were licensed for these games doesn't mean that they ran them or that they didn't lease out the space to gamblers like Weaver and his FAW chips at Reno Card Room or a Fred Beck's of the FAB chips. Still ya gotta wonder, they got the dice and probably a table... chips too, maybe? Wouldn't that be cool if some ever show up?
