If it's a non-commerical website, you can (fair use). If it's a commercial site, however, you can't use it for the same reason you can't copy or otherwise use parts of a book, movie or other artistic property for your own commercial use.

Or why you can't make unauthorized copies of software (hello, Larry), music CDs, or any other copyrighted material.

Long and short: the law gives the creator of such property the EXCLUSIVE right to use it for profit.
