Hey, Nice Bunny. Unless Brown's source recognizes the chip as being from a known club, I doubt if he will be of much assistance. Asian translations very seldom give the name of the casino, club or location. The characters usually translate to something like "Good Luck" or a phrase from a fortune cookie such as "You will have good fortune & prosperity." Others have translated as "Fruit from the plum tree" or "Smooth going."
For example, the characters on the Mai Chow Social Club in Walnut Creek, Ca translate "Five continents."
Characters on the Lee On Card Room in San Francisco translate to "New."
Characters on chips from Quon Vick Club in Sacramento translate to "Talent, expert, skilled, surpass" on the four chips from the Japanese club.
