St. James Club Casino closed 4/1/07. The casino was not run by the resort, but by an outside group. Apparently some sort of casino tax was raised from 5% to 15% on April 1st, so the casino shut its doors, catching the resort by suprise. The resort is not sure if they will try and get another casino operator in there, or just use the space for something else.

The Grand Princess will sometimes open some table games at 6pm, but most don't get started until 8pm.

I Just got back from the St. James Club. Round trip taxi from there to the Grand Princess or King's is about $70 to $80.
