I worked on the new Hilton Grand Vacation Resorts beside that plot of land for a year. Actually we used it for a parking lot. I was told the reason it was not developed is because there was a huge aquafer(sp?) just below and they could not build on the site. It used to have tall weeds on it in places but the day they cleared off the lot, there were homeless guys running out of it like rats.

beside the Sahara is what used to be the Wet and Wild, owned by Sahara, South of that is another dirt lot that is now Turnberry Place (behind dirt) and the dirt lot is the future home of FountainBleu Casino. It used to be the site of The El Rancho.
Across the street from the FountainBleu is the Hilton Grand Tower 2 that I worked on. North of that is the vacant lot that was just purchased. It corners LV Blvd and Sahara. North of that lot, the other dirt lot, across Sahara, is where the Allure is now standing.
