The following is a scan I just made from the August 14 1939 issue of Life Magazine. It shows pictures of the SS Rex being attacked outside the 3-mile limit by authorities in order to shut down the gambling ship.

Pictured are the Rex, police boat, and shown are several of the crew of the SS Rex using fire hoses to prevent the authorities from boarding. There's also a shot of Tony Cornero.
